IT Department Penalty: Big alert! If ITR is not filed by December 31, then fine will have to be paid, check details

Income Tax Return: As you know that the last date for filing Income Tax Return is 31st December. Meaning you have to file the return within this year. What if you do not file your return within this year? You should also know the answer to this question. If you do not file income tax return in this year itself, then you will have to pay a penalty.



Before knowing how much the fine will be, let us tell you that this time due to Corona and many other problems, the government has given time till 31st December for the returns to be filed usually till 31st July. According to the data received on December 26, more than 4.51 crore taxpayers have filed returns so far. On December 26 alone, 8.7 lakh people have filed ITR.
Releasing the above data, the Income Tax Department has advised people to file Income Tax Return (ITR) soon. If you want to avoid paying penalty for filing return after the deadline, then file your income tax return before December 31.


How much will be the fine
After 31st December 2021, the deadline for filing income tax returns, there will be a penalty of Rs 5,000 for filing returns for the assessment year 2021-22. If you want to file income tax return for the assessment year 2021-22 after March 31, 2022, then you will be able to fill it, but in that case you will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000.

Instagram users can now share links on Stories. Here’s how to do it

Instagram announced on Wednesday it will now allow all its users to add clickable links to their stories, a feature earlier limited to select users.

Adding links to stories can help users share resources and information with their followers, and also expand the app’s Shops feature by redirecting users to their websites, Instagram said in a statement.

The Facebook-owned company introduced stories links feature five years ago, allowing content creators and business accounts with over 10,000 followers to add swipe-up links to their stories. The move is intended to help users increase their engagement on the platform, according to Instagram.

“We made this decision based on feedback we heard from the community about how impactful it would be for creators and businesses of all sizes to benefit from link sharing to grow in the same way larger accounts do,” Instagram said in a statement.

You can access the feature by selecting the sticker tool from the top navigation bar when you capture or upload content to your Story. After selecting the “Link Sticker,” you can add your chosen link and then tap “Done.” From there, you can place the sticker anywhere on your Story and tap on it to see the other color variations.

For the convenience of the users, we have listed the process below via which they can add links to their stories:

  • Capture or upload content to your story
  • Select the sticker tool from the top navigation bar
  • Tap the “Link” sticker to add your desired link and tap “Done”
  • Place the sticker on your story — like other stickers — and tap on the sticker to see color variations

Instagram is also working on ways to customize the sticker so it’s clear what someone will see when they tap the link.
